Finishing the Ironman and Memorial Gathering
We are so glad you are here and helping us create a day of celebrating and loving Dax. Two main facets to the day - join for one or both, OR learn how to participate from afar.
In the morning and early afternoon, we will finish the race that Dax so joyfully started on 9/10/23, IronMan Wisconsin. We won’t leave a mile undone and we’ll hold him with us the entire way. Anyone can gather at Monona Terrace to watch family cross the finish line at 1 pm.
Then please join us for food and camaraderie at Lake Farm County Park.
If you are with us in spirit only, we also welcome and thank you and are happy you’re here! You’ll see a spot on this website through which to upload video clips - perhaps of you pounding the pavement for Dax from home? - memories, and photos. Please do share! We know Dax’s presence is felt far and wide and will be forever and we’d love you to share a slice of it.

We're going to finish what Dax started.
He'd completed the swim and transitioned to the bike course. Dax rode almost 50 miles before he ran into problems. Finishing the Ironman will provide closure and give those who admired, respected and loved Dax the opportunity to participate and be a part of completing his dream.

After the team finishes the Ironman we'll move the celebration to William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park.
Food (taco bar) and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Beer is welcome but we do ask that you bring your own. We anticipate the gathering lasting from 2 - 10 pm.
