Brother-in-law relationships always seem unique to me, and while Dax and I didn’t chat on a regular basis, when we did it was always comforting and entertaining. I enjoyed listening to his hunting stories, playing trivia games against him, and enjoying family get togethers. His laugh/and burps were always hard to ignore around the house! I appreciated his genuine curiosity and interest in my career trials and tribulations and always enjoyed catching up on his work/schooling. While we may not have crossed paths often, it was never lost on me how much he cared for Kris and the kids. We certainly miss his strong presence but are grateful for all the memories and warm comforting feelings he provided. We all love you Dax!

Dax was a neighbor to me and then ended up living next to my mom on Bewick Dr. When I had to ride the bus in high school he was always so nice, unlike some others. He was a great neighbor to my mom and dad and his brothers grew up with my brother, Mike. I’m saddened by his passing and cannot imagine a life without him if I were family. RIP Dax!

We hope we conveyed these thoughts to you over the 12 or so years that you were a part of our lives. That we thought you were pretty funny (and your laugh was contagious)… that you were a terrific cook (with crazy, exotic spices always in your recipes)… that you made a ‘wicked’ Old Fashioned… that your homemade cranberry sauce was an acquired taste, at least by Jim, ha!…that you always prepared enough food for an army or the neighborhood…that it was clear how much you loved our granddaughter, Maeve, as well as Liam and Finn (and being a good Dad was a priority to you)… that we were proud that you were selected to be the speaker at your MBA class graduation event…that you inspired Maeve to enjoy Triathlons, tandem bike rides, canoe trips, and camping…that we were impressed with your Leprechaun trap-making skills … that your costume creating creds were unmatched… and perhaps most of all, that you loved and cherished Kristin. We hope that even if we didn’t say these words out loud to you in life, that you were aware of our feelings anyway. Rest in Peace, Dax. Wish you could be here with all of us at this Celebration of your life! Now that we think about it, YOU ARE! 😉👍❤️.
